Privacy - Assig.#7

Articles

1. On the article of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, they having a privacy problem because they want to protect the bloggers right. One of the problems is that they want  the bloggers to have the right to stay anonymous. My thoughts on this is why the bloggers want to stay anonymous, I think if  they blogging good stuffs I don't see why they wanna be anonymous, but I guess is more than that, maybe it is because sometimes they want to have write about a political subject or something else and I understand no everybody is going to agree on what you think.

2. EFF's 'Secure Messaging Scorecard' Rates Digital Communication Tools. This article talks about we need to have more security and practical means of talking to each other from our phones and computers. Many companies offer "secure messaging" products ,but how can users know if these systems actually secure?. I'm totally agree it's true that we need to have privacy because anyone can be reading our text message. The companies needs to give us proof if that really works because is our privacy , our right.

3. This article talks about Verizon injecting Perma-cookies to track mobile customers, bypassing privacy controls.Verizon Wireless has been silently modifying its users' web traffic on its network to inject a cookie-like tracker. This tracker, included in an HTTP header called X-UIDH, is sent to every. It allows third-party advertisers and websites to assemble a deep, permanent profile of visitors' web browsing habits without their consent. I don't think this is right because they shouldn't care what people does in their phones, why they want to control people?. What they get by doing this ?.
