Privacy

Facebook: My privacy settings on Facebook, I have it private. The options for my privacy settings are:
  1. who can see my posts.
  2. who can contact me.
  3. who can find me in the search bar.
Instagram: On instagram I got it private, instagram doesn't have a lot of options it has the option to give permission , meaning if I want that  someone can repost a picture or comment on photos.

Twitter: It is so important to have your accounts on private, so that's why I got my account private. Twitter doesn't have many options it only says if you have your account public or private,

Google + :  The options for this social media are:

  1. who can interact with your blog
  2.  Who can send you notifications.
  3. Who can comment on your public posts.
  4. Who can Hangout with you.
  5. Allow viewers to download my photos and videos.
The difference between these social medias, is that Instagram and twitter doesn't have many options as Facebook and Google + . I  believe it's because most of the people don't use Instagram and twitter as much as Facebook. Instagram is an app that you can use it to upload pictures, you can't chat, and that's why I think it doesn't have a lot of options because your not in danger as you can be on Facebook and if someone is bothering you on Instagram there's the option to block. Most of the people use Facebook that's why it has more options. Some people don't use it properly , meaning that probably a maniac is stalking you , you can block him/her or simply you can put your account private and only have your close friends. Google is an app that have a lot of options because you can do a lot of things on the app you can have a email account, you can create documents, share pictures and also you can have a blog. that's why the account give you a lot of safety options in order to have secure account. In my opinion Facebook has the best privacy setting, and of course it needs to have it. I feel 100% secure because it gives me good options about my privacy . The worst I would say It's twitter because people already using it and more people are joining it but doesn't have a good privacy setting.

Our group is composed of four members. As of now, we split the work up, and each of us have an assigned, specific role. Our project topic is centered around the idea of movies. Joselin Santos has been assigned the role of doing research on how movies are easily copyrighted. Sajni Bhakta has the role of searching how easily it is to illegally download movies. Lissania Alarcon has the work of conducting research on what is the process and consequences of illegally downloading movies. Last but not least, Ana Villasana has the role of searching up on how movies get leaked online first.

Specific research that we will be doing is using articles and journals that relate to our topic. One article we found was about Copyright Laws for Movies, and it talks about what copyright is, what triggers copyright protection, how if a movie is produced, it gets leaked right away. It also talks about authorization, and if you want to state that your work is your own without anyone getting it, then you have to claim it’s yours. It gives a lot of information like the consequences you will face if you copyright someone else’s work and if you get caught, you can be fined with about $150,000. It also explains to us the laws, and expectations, what pirating is and what it does, and fan fiction, and stealing other people’s work is not right or fair because they worked hard to produce or make it. They also talk about how they prevent copyrighting and protect the owners work. The legal boundaries of how much work can actually be considered fair to use.

Sources we will be anticipating to use are the UHD database web site, the library’s web site, and basically anything interesting we can find online that relates to our topic. For example, we will be using educational web sites so we can have factual information like iseek.com, google book search, and google scholar. We hope to use educational web sites because those are the sites that will give us factual information and more details we can use to put together our project.

The Life of the Chinese Gold Farmer

This article is about people from china, they play this game call "World of Warcraft" . These people spend twelve hours a night, seven nights a week trying to collect coins. The people who play this games need coins that way they can sell to thousands of players. Every World of Warcraft player needs those coins, and mostly for one reason, to pay for the virtual gear to fight the monsters to earn the points to reach the next level. There are only two ways players can get as much of this virtual money as the game requires, they can spend hours collecting it or they can pay someone real money to do it for them. In my opinion because the games sometimes are too hard to reach the next level, the players choose to spend their money to buy those coins, so that's why the people from china can get some money. I don't think what they do is worthy, because they spent almost all day playing those games, and sometimes they don't even receive good money. In the other side of the coin, what they do only benefits to the American or European players, they play to give them what they need in order to finish the game, at the same time if the Chinese people don't work in the business of gold farmer,  I think nobody would be playing video games and all the game companies  by this time should be broke because no one would be buying games.
